On behalf of the 2010 Greek Independence Day Parade Committee, we are providing You and Your Business/Organization with this year’s Parade Sponsorship Opportunities and are asking for your Financial Support for Chicago’s 2010 Greek Independence Day Celebration Festivities.

The Parade will be held on April 25, 2010 in Chicago’s world famous “Greek Town” This year’s Theme is “Eleftheria” [Freedom!] . . . . commemorating the heroic events leading up to Greece’s Victory, which ended 400 years of occupation by the Ottoman empire.

2010 marks the 46th year of the Chicago Greek Independence Day Parade.  We want to acknowledge generous financial and voluntary support from the many Organizations, Businesses, Families and Individuals who have supported Chicago’s Greek Parade in the past including  the parade’s founder Dr. Basil J. Photos and the past Chicago based Hellenic organizations who have, over the years, endured the challenges in undertaking this important yearly event of displaying Hellenic pride.  With your generous financial support, our Chicago Greek Independence Day Parade will successfully celebrate its 46th Anniversary.

The governing body of the 2010 Greek Independence Day Parade is ENOSIS – “UNITY”.  ENOSIS is a Federation of Hellenic American Organizations and is a registered entity in the State of Illinois.   It consists of several non-for-profit Hellenic organizations, which are also incorporated in the state of Illinois.  The Federation offers support to Hellenic American Organizations as well as preserves and promotes important aspects related to our Hellenic Heritage by achieving the most important goal of all. . . . . UNITY!

This year the Parade Committee will introduce the 46 year Chicago Greek Independence Day Commemorative Album (Click the link for more information).  Which, depending upon your sponsorship level, will provide the opportunity to display your name / message / advertisement at the various events planned for the months of March and April which will include but are not limited to the following:

March 11 – Hellenic Parade Smoker – Atlantis Banquets, Arlington Heights
April 6 – Lottery Drawing for Parade – St Demetrios, Elmhurst
April 14 – Chicago Mayor’s Reception – Harold Washington Library, 9th Floor (TENTATIVE)
April 23 – Flag Ceremony – Daley Plaza, Chicago
April 23 – Eleftheria Glendi – (location and special guest to be announced)
April 24 – Dignitary Reception – Fountain Blue, Des Plaines,
April 25 – Hellenic Parade – Down Town Chicago, Greek Town – 2:30 p.m. – (grand marshal to be announced)
